Letter From the Minister of Education and Resource Links
During these challenging times, we know you have many questions about your child's education. Please see the below letter from the Minister of Education providing some further information about lessons and time guidelines.
Thank you for all of your support of us during our first week of online learning! We are working hard to standardize our routines for our families. Currently, you can expect the following:
- On Monday morning you will receive from your homeroom teacher the learning plan for the week. These learning plans are designed to make it easy for you to access instructional materials and assignments for your child. Please look in the learning plan for times to make live connections online with your teachers using Google Meet. If you have any questions regarding the learning plan, please contact your homeroom teacher.
- Beginning on Monday, March 30, we will also post our weekly school announcements online. In this document you will see videos of a variety of staff members at Meadow Ridge School, great activities to keep physically active, learning challenges, fun challenges, and much more. We will link these weekly announcements off of our website.
As we are adapting to online learning, here are two websites that can support you at home:
Foothills School Division Parent Learning Link: This link will take you to a variety of resources compiled by our excellent Division Office Staff. Here, you can find information on literacy, numeracy, navigating this new digital world, resiliency, and community supports to help you during this time.
Foothills School Division Student Learning Link: This is the latest site from Foothills School Division. It is still in development but students can access fun things to try and academic supports needed.
Thank you again for all of your great support, Grizzlies!
